Professional activity:

From March 1991 to the present, he has been working at the Institute of Steel Structures, and since October 2009, he has been Director.

The Institute is engaged in the research and development of technologies, its mission is to develop and promote the effective use of steel structures in construction. The success of his work is confirmed by the fact that the UK has the highest share of steel construction in the world. B.A. Burgan is one of two executive directors on the board of directors (which includes 4 more members), performs a wide range of duties, including:

• Strategic management, leadership
• Expansion of the sales market (both within the country and abroad)
• Conducting joint research projects with various government and commercial organizations
• Coordinating the work of a Special Group to study the effects of fire and wind
• Joint projects with international universities, foundations and institutes
