
Hayri Attacks
Background
Khairi Atak is an architect, designer, and teacher working in various fields and scales such as urbanism, building construction, the environment, and industrial design.
He graduated from the Faculty of Interior Architecture at Istanbul Technical University and studied architecture at Auburn University. After that, Khairi received a Master's degree in Facade Design and Technology from Istanbul Technical University and additional education in Architecture and Hotel Design from the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA, Milan).
He is the author of the concepts of the unusual Sarcostyle skyscraper in Manhattan, New York, and the Squall Tower, which, according to the idea, will rotate from the wind and make a complete revolution around its axis in 48 hours, as well as generate electricity.
Khairy actively applies the concepts of futurism and information technology in architecture, stands out for his multifaceted and organic works with a special sense of design. He closely follows new trends such as parametric design, prototyping techniques, robotics in architecture and applies them in his studio Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio (HAADS).
Khairi Atak conducts seminars and is also a guest lecturer at a number of universities, such as Istanbul Technical University, Medipol University (Istanbul), Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University. Khairi Atak has been awarded numerous awards at international competitions, and he is also a member of the jury of various national and international competitions.
