
Andrey Sides
Background
In 1966 he graduated from the Moscow Art Institute. In 1966-1970, he was an architect, senior architect at the State Unitary Enterprise Mosproekt and the State Unitary Enterprise GlavAPU. From 1970 to 1974, he was a postgraduate student, a junior researcher, and then a senior researcher at TSNIITIA (NIITIAG). In 1973, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Architectural and spatial organization of multifunctional complexes and structures."
He has received numerous awards: People's Architect of Russia, Honored Architect of the Russian Federation, Honorary Builder, Honored Worker of the Moscow Construction Industry. Winner of the State Prize in Literature and Art for 2001, the Russian National Architectural Award "Crystal Dedalus" and Gold diplomas of the festival "Architecture", the review competition "Golden Section-2003", the prize named after architect A. E. Gutnov. Holder of the Orders of the Badge of Honor and Peter the Great, 1st degree, medals of the SAR "For High Architectural skill" named after V. I. Bazhenov.
He is a regular participant and laureate of Moscow, Russian and international architectural competitions, awarded more than 40 times with various professional awards, including for projects of the Frontier of Glory.
He is the author of two monographs and more than 50 publications in the Russian and foreign press.
