51-year-old Alain Robert (French Spider-Man) is known as a solo climber. Alone, he has conquered more than 80 ultra–tall skyscrapers, including the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa (828 m), the Petronas, Sears and Taipei 101 towers.

Robert is hardly less famous as a speaker – he is an invited guest at major international conferences on high-rise construction, mountaineering, medicine and the psychology of success.

In 1993, Robert was awarded the Medal of the International Olympic Committee "For solo performance". Robert's achievements are mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records for 2008. Documentaries with Robert's participation have repeatedly won prizes at international adventure film festivals.
