He is a graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Business Administration at Seattle University in the USA, and holds honorary doctorates from Seattle University, Honorary Doctorates from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Honorary doctorates from Sun Moon University in South Korea.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar is an internationally renowned businessman active in real estate, retail, hospitality, e–commerce, technology, logistics, catering, and venture capital.

Since 1997, he has been one of the world leaders in the real estate industry, leading development companies such as Emaar Properties (developer of the tallest building in the world) and Eagle Hills (a leading developer in emerging markets). Under his leadership, Emaar Properties has seen outstanding growth, succeeding in developing iconic futuristic residential, retail, entertainment, hotel and leisure facilities and changing the way people live around the world. Over the years, he has been developing high-end mixed-use facilities, while simultaneously developing retail business in more than 20 countries in the Middle East, North and South Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, South and Southeast Asia, and the United States.
