Background
Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
In 1999, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU). In 2002, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He defended his PhD thesis in 2000 and his doctoral thesis in 2005. He was awarded the academic title of Associate professor in 2005 and professor in 2016. In 2009, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences (RAASN), and in 2017– an academician of the RAASN in the Department of Building Sciences of the RAASN.
He worked at MGSU from 2000 to 2017 in various positions from assistant to vice-rector.
In 2016, he moved to his main job at the Russian Academy of Sciences after being elected in 2014 to the position of Chief Scientific Secretary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2019, he was re-elected Chief Scientific Secretary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In March 2020, he was appointed acting rector of the National Research University MGSU, in December 2020 he was elected by the labor collective to the position of rector, and in March 2021 he was confirmed in this position.
