Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Worker of the Hydrometeorological Service of Russia, Honored Meteorologist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician of the International Adyghe (Circassian) Academy of Sciences, laureate of the State Prize of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in the field of science and technology.

Member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service, head of the Development, testing and implementation of new technologies for active effects on avalanches. He conducted original research on the electrification of cloud particles, separation of electric charges in convective clouds, glaciology, propagation of electromagnetic waves in the atmosphere and plasma formations.
