Dr. Adam Coulard is an analyst at the Center for Fire Safety Research in Construction at the University of Edinburgh and the scientific coordinator of the project "Analysis of real fires in the design of high–rise buildings."

Mr. Coulard is characterized by a wide range of research interests, including fire safety strategies and functional design of unique infrastructure (for high-rise buildings, historical heritage sites and aircraft), sensor modeling of fire tests, optimization of forest fire risks, etc. Adam Coulard is a distinguished fellow of the 2010/2011 AXAPost-Doctoralresearch Fellowship, a member of the European Space Agency's thematic working group on improving fire safety in outer space.
