Valery Yakovlev

Background

In 1974 graduated with honors from the Sverdlovsk Civil Engineering College in 1980. — Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute (SAI) specializing in Industrial Architecture. He graduated from the Graduate School of the Moscow Institute of Economics in 1988 and defended his PhD thesis in 2007.

He worked at the design institute "Uralgiprobytprom".

At the Department of Architecture of Industrial Buildings and Structures at the SAI: Assistant (1980-1990), Senior lecturer (1990-2003), Associate Professor (2003-2007), Professor at the APSiS Department (2007-2010). Professor of the Department of Architectural Design (2010). Since 2019 Currently, V.B. Yakovlev works as the head of the Department of Drawing at the Ural State Pedagogical University.

Winner of the All-Russian design competitions. He is the author and co-author of a number of implemented projects and constructions of industrial and civil infrastructure. The main focus of the work is the reconstruction of industrial facilities, the design of offices, shops, interiors of residential and public buildings.
