Background
I am Stepan Karachkov, head of the BIM department at Midas, a bridge engineer and an expert in the field of information modeling of transport infrastructure. For more than 17 years I have been working in the field of bridge and infrastructure design, calculations of building structures, implementation of BIM technologies and engineering software.
My professional experience includes working in design organizations, where I was involved in the design and calculations of bridge structures and transport infrastructure facilities. He worked as the chief engineer of the project, was responsible for the release of project documentation, the execution and verification of calculations, project support at the stages of expertise and construction. Participated in the implementation of major infrastructure projects.
Today, I am responsible for the development of Midas's BIM business and help organizations implement modern digital technologies. One of the key areas of my activity is the development of the domestic INFRA PC software package, a BIM platform for designing transport infrastructure facilities that combines modeling, engineering analysis, and documentation production tools.
I regularly speak at industry conferences on BIM and transport infrastructure, where I share my practical experience in implementing digital technologies, the results of pilot projects, and approaches to integrating BIM models with computational complexes in the design of bridges and linear facilities.
