Background
Xiong Xing, Founder of XING DESIGN (行之建筑), earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Tsinghua University, followed by a Master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University. He also serves as a Design Instructor at Tsinghua University’s School of Architecture.
Prior to founding XINGDESIGN, Xiong worked as a Senior Architectural Designer at Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) in New York, where he led the design of cutting-edge super-tall projects. He has also contributed to diverse design challenges at Bjarke Ingels Group (B.I.G.) in Copenhagen, Denmark, and at UNStudio in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Xing’s work maintains avant-garde aesthetics and diversity while ensuring strong practicality and high-quality execution. The studio excels at leveraging new technologies, transforming constraints into advantages, and creating dramatic spatial experiences through innovative designs that integrate sustainability, technology, and poetic expression.
