Anna Subbotina

Anna Subbotina is an architect, curator of educational and public projects, and brand development specialist at the ulab architectural bureau.

In 2020, she graduated with honors from the Ural State University of Architecture and Art and began her professional career at R1.lab, where she developed as an architect of residential and public spaces. Since 2021, it has been a member of the Open Consortium.

As part of an Open Consortium, she participated in competitions for the development of the City Pond embankment and the improvement of Vayner Street in Yekaterinburg, as well as in the Rostourism competition for the development of the city's tourist center — all projects became winners of the competitions.

Since 2023, he has been responsible for the bureau's social media and public communications, writes texts, and represents ulab at professional events and in interviews. Since 2023, he has also been overseeing a summer architectural internship for students.

In 2025, she participated in the rebranding of R1.lab and the transition to a new name, ulab, after which she focused on the development and promotion of the bureau's brand. Since 2025, it has been organizing educational and public events, including the ulab Summer Architecture School for students and young professionals of various fields. He also oversees workshops for students as part of the Creative Industries Festival and collaborates with initiative communities in Yekaterinburg.

ULAB combines architectural practice with curatorial, educational, communication and organizational activities.
