For the first time, Russia will host the BRICS International Green Building Round Table, where key leaders of the BRICS countries will gather to discuss each other's progress, standards, challenges and tools, and most importantly, to find ways for mutually beneficial cooperation. Until now, all directions in the field of green building led to London or Washington, where LEED and BREEAM standards dominated, and national green building councils were under the control of the World Green Building Council located in Canada.
Until 2022, countries, including Russia, competed among themselves in the number of LEED or BREEAM certified projects. However, starting in 2022, after the departure of LEED, BREEAM and the World Green Building Council from Russia, the situation has changed. Now, for the first time, BRICS members — Brazil, Russia and India — will meet for open discussions on Russian territory within the framework of the 100+ forum.
Important issues will be discussed at the round table.: How are the green building markets developing in the BRICS countries? What key decisions and trends can be identified? Will the BRICS markets be able to cooperate in creating regional non-Western standards for green building? How will the export market of building materials for green construction develop in the context of the new system of recognition of standards between countries, which makes it possible to circumvent sanctions?
We invite you to meet with the heads of the green building councils of Brazil and India and welcome them to Russia!
