"Green" construction: a fashionable trend or an urgent need
"Green" technologies in construction are becoming more and more popular in the world and in Russia. This applies to both housing construction and the construction of industrial buildings and structures.
The demand for "green" housing is constantly growing. According to the analytical center Dom.In Russia, 54% of buyers are willing to pay more for living space that meets "green" standards. To the traditional criteria in the field of resource efficiency, building materials, waste management, air and water quality parameters, light, thermal and sound comfort, eco-services are added.
A preferential "green" mortgage has been launched for new buildings, where the purchase of an apartment in a building under construction with energy efficiency class A, A+, A++ helps to reduce the mortgage rate.
Since March 2023, the program for supporting green investment projects has been expanded: projects related to the construction of energy-efficient buildings, infrastructure modernization, clearing and restoration of water bodies, and others can apply for preferential financing.
What needs to be done to ensure that "green" standards are applied during the design, construction and operation of buildings and structures? What support measures or penalties can influence the choice of developers? What should be done to reduce emissions of CO2 and other harmful substances into the atmosphere? To what extent do the declared environmental friendliness of buildings under construction correspond to reality? What can stop unscrupulous advertisers from wishful thinking? What measures are in place to combat greenwashing?
The creation of models for the transition to "green" technologies, the development and adoption of standards, best practices worthy of scaling in our country – all this will be discussed at the session.
