Virtual construction as a new method of turning projects into reality
The main topic of the 100+ Forum Russia this year will be virtual construction. What does it mean for the construction industry? Is it the distant future, or has the era of imaginary construction already arrived?
The advantages of creating virtual reality are now becoming more and more obvious. A virtual architectural structure allows you to present the final project as reliably as possible. You can take virtual walks and flights, interactively change the entire project or parts of it. Unlike a paper model, virtual reality allows you to adjust the model online. The information model allows all project participants to exchange data as quickly and efficiently as possible: the customer, contractors, architects, designers, grid specialists, installers, and operating organizations.
Until recently, it was believed that these technologies are not cheap and are only necessary for the construction of unique facilities such as stadiums, etc. But digital technologies have quickly found application in civil engineering.
The business program of the 100+ Forum Russia will focus on digital design, construction and operation, as well as the digital production of modern materials and technologies. Here are some topics:
- The use of automated technical systems and information technologies in construction (when performing engineering surveys using robotic solutions, organizing the construction process using robotic construction equipment and monitoring construction work using unmanned aerial vehicles).
- Virtual prototyping in the design and construction of buildings and structures (virtual reality technologies for working with BIM models, determining the life cycle of buildings based on the results of object modeling, visualization of projects to assess the progress of construction based on the results of photography).
- BIM technologies in the design, construction and operation of buildings and structures (changes in the regulatory framework in the field of building information models in the design and construction of facilities, domestic and foreign experience in using BIM technologies, information models of buildings during their operation).
