The jury of the All-Russian Engineering and Architectural Award 100+ AWARDS includes the stars of world architecture

The names of the first confirmed jury members of the new All-Russian Engineering and Architecture award 100+ AWARDS (100+ Evords), founded as part of the International Forum and Exhibition 100+ TechnoBuild, have become known.  

Foreign engineering and architectural schools will be represented on the jury by:

Juliette Jiang is the Senior Vice President of the Chinese BROAD Group.  The company gained worldwide fame by building a 6-storey building in just one day (BROAD Pavilion at the Shanghai EXPO), a 15-storey building in a week (New Ark Hotel), a 30-storey building in 15 days (T30 Hotel), a 57-storey Mini Sky City in 19 days. The company has developed an ultra-lightweight structural material – a profile tubular plate made of stainless steel (the so-called B-Core).

Frank Heinlein is the Director of Communications at the German Werner Sobek. The name Werner Sobek is synonymous with engineering, high-tech and sustainable design all over the world. Special attention is paid to lightweight load-bearing structures, high-rise buildings and translucent facade systems. Another specialization of Werner Sobek is special constructions made of steel, glass, titanium, fabric and wood, as well as promising concepts of sustainable construction.

James Law is a Chinese architect, engineer, and founder of James Law Cybertecture. He shocked the world by designing a new type of affordable housing – in water pipes. The project was named OPod Concrete Tube Housing. James Lowe is also developing a design for Elon Musk's project, the Hyperloop transport system, which will consist of capsules moving through special pipes at speeds up to 1,200 km per hour.

Melike Altınışık is the founder and head of the Turkish bureau Melike Altınışık Architects. Melike has worked on significant projects of various scales: from high-rise buildings, master plans, cultural centers and museums to custom furniture design. Many of her works, such as the Istanbul TV and Radio Tower (Istanbul, Turkey) and the building of the Robot Science Museum Musuem (Seoul, South Korea), have been awarded prestigious awards.

The Russian Engineering and Architectural schools will be represented on the jury by:

Sergey Choban is the head of one of the leading architectural bureaus in Russia, SPEECH, and the winner of the European Architecture Prize (European Prize for Architecture) in 2018. Sergei Choban's projects include the Federation Tower in Moscow City, Expoforum, the Jewish Cultural Center and Synagogue in St. Petersburg, the Water Sports Palace in Kazan, the DomAquarée quarter, the Drawing Museum, the renovation of the weaving factory and the Coca-Cola headquarters in Berlin.

Vladimir Travush is the Chief Designer of GORPROEKT CJSC, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. He is also the co-author and chief designer of the Ostankino Tower, the chief designer of the Moscow City Business Center. His projects also include the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg.  Vladimir Travush designed the four-kilometer tower back in the 1960s (Nikitin Tower-Travusha 4000). The structural elements of this skyscraper tower were later used in the proposed Japanese X-Seed 4000 skyscraper project.

Anatoly Ladaev is the chief designer of CapitalGroup. One of the company's key areas is skyscraper construction. Among the projects that have won international and Russian awards are IFC City of Capitals, IFC Legend of Tsvetnoy, IFC Tricolor, Yacht City, and the residential tower of the OKO skyscraper in Moscow.

In total, the jury will include more than 20 of the world's leading experts in construction and architecture. The full list of jury members will be published in June 2021.  The winners will be announced during the days of the 100+ TechnoBuild at the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC on October 5-7, 2021.

The 100+ AWARDS is an engineering Oscar founded within the framework of the International Construction Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition to reward specialists and creative teams who have made a significant contribution to the development of architectural and construction science, design, and development of capital construction facilities in Russia. The works are evaluated in seven categories. Applications are accepted until May 15, 2021.
