The International Construction Week will be held in Yekaterinburg for the first time

Yekaterinburg will become the site of the International Construction Week from October 1 to October 4, 2024. The event will include the XI International Forum and the 100+ Technobuild exhibition and the IV International Construction Championship (IIC). The dates and concept were approved at a meeting of the federal organizing committee.

Alexander Lomakin, First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation, noted the importance of the upcoming event and the growing interest in it both domestically and internationally.

"Holding the Championship and 100+ on an ongoing basis shows their importance for the development of the construction industry and their relevance to the professional community. Combining such major events sets a high organizational bar. I am sure that the consolidation of the organizers' efforts this year will give an additional impetus to the development of professional competencies and demonstration of achievements, making important decisions in the construction industry, and promoting key projects at the federal level with the opportunity to enter international markets," said Alexander Lomakin.

According to Alexey Shmykov, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, the general theme of the construction week will be "Building the Future."

"The key goal of the event is to ensure the rapid growth of the construction complex in the interests of people, the state and business," he stressed. – The 100+ TechnoBuild exhibition will occupy an area inside and outside the Yekaterinburg Expo of 40 thousand square meters. More than 20 thousand square meters have been allocated for the construction championship competitions. We expect that the total number of participants in the International Construction Week will exceed 40,000 people. We will do everything possible to ensure that the event is held at a high level and becomes a memorable event for everyone."

The forum part will be held in the congress center and will include more than 220 sections (up to 20 halls will operate in parallel). Traditionally, the key topics will be the design, construction and operation of buildings and structures, energy efficiency and safety of facilities. Experts will also discuss "green" construction, innovative materials and technologies, BIM design, planning and development of transport infrastructure, and a comfortable urban environment.

The 100+ Design direction, dedicated to interior design, will continue to work. It includes a two-day Interior Design Forum and an exhibition cluster. The Comfortable Urban Environment Forum will be developed.

In the exhibition part, the new direction will be the street exposition – equipment for construction and housing and communal services will be located on an area of 10 thousand "squares". It is planned that everyone will be able to sign up for a test drive and choose from one to six brands of equipment on the spot. In total, about 30 units will be provided for the test – these are tractors, dump trucks, manipulators, utility equipment, excavators, loaders. During the test drive, it will be possible, for example, to drive a mainline tractor, overload light loads and clean roads.

The 100+ Awards will be held for the fourth time. Applications are accepted until May 15, and the award ceremony is scheduled for the 100+ days. This year, there are new nominations for facilities under construction.

In 2023, more than 25,000 people from 25 countries and 74 regions of Russia visited 100+. 505 exhibitors took part in the exhibition, and 900 speakers participated in the business program.
