A unique garden will grow in Yekaterinburg City

The alley will connect a historic place for Yekaterinburg – Dmitry Ivanovich Kazantsev's garden, where a talented self-taught breeder brought out new varieties of fruit trees for the Urals, and the new Yekaterinburg City business center.

The alley will symbolize the historical stages of the development of Ural horticulture from the unique old apple trees preserved in the garden of D.I. Kazantsev to the demonstration of the latest achievements in the field of fruit and ornamental tree breeding. Trees of such varieties as "Papyroyantarnoe", "Uralets", "Pervouralskaya", "Purple Ranetka" will be planted on the new site.

The creation of the Alley of Ural Horticulture will make it possible to create in Yekaterinburg a new and unique element of the urban landscape environment, which carries not only an aesthetic and decorative function, but also complements it with an informational and historical excursion.

The event will be attended by representatives of the Government of the Sverdlovsk region, the Yekaterinburg city Administration, leading scientific institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Ural region working in the field of scientific and theoretical research of plant life and breeding of new fruit, berry and ornamental crops, the leadership of the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, the leadership of the Museum of the History of Fruit Gardening in the Middle Urals, as well as representatives of UMMC LLC- Holding Company".
