Urbanists from all over the world will gather at the 100+ Forum Russia in Yekaterinburg
For the first time, the 100+ Forum Russia program will cover all aspects of the development of large cities. The event plans to become one of the largest urban forums in Russia outside Moscow in terms of the number and status of speakers.
The participants of the III forum will discuss not only the specifics of the construction of individual unique facilities, which are an invariable component of the appearance of a modern city, but also urbanism as a whole. Thus, the round table "Trends in the development of modern urbanized territories and cities" will bring together experts in the field of transport policy and urban management. Among them are Svyat Murunov, an urbanist, head of the Institute of Applied Urban Studies and an expert on working with local communities, Mikhail Blinkin, Director of the Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy, Professor at the A. Vysokovsky Higher School of Urban Studies at the National Research University of Higher School of Economics. The topic of his report is "The relationship between planning parameters and scenarios of transport policy." He will share options for comprehensive measures to solve the problem of interaction between pedestrians and motorists, which is relevant for all megacities.
"Modernization of existing territories is one of the most important tasks of modern urban planning. Yekaterinburg, as a city with a high potential for the development of the center, seems interesting to me from the point of view of the development and creation of public spaces, including those that form skyscrapers. High-rise construction provides the population density necessary for the development of public spaces and the economy. The detailed disclosure of all aspects that create the urban fabric: transport, architecture, technological development of construction and urban facilities, and public space makes the forum one of the leaders in discussing topics related to urbanism."
- said Ilya Zalivukhin, speaker of the forum and moderator of the section, Vice-President of the Union of Moscow Architects, member of the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Construction of the Moscow Region.
This year's discussion of high-rise construction will also go beyond the scope of construction issues and touch upon all aspects of "living at height." Representatives of domestic and international companies with experience in the construction and operation of skyscrapers in Russia, Great Britain, South Korea, Poland, France and the UAE will share their vision.
