Participants of the World Programming Championship: "Yekaterinburg is a cozy city!"

The ACM-ICPC 2014 World Programming Championship kicked off in the city this week. Among its participants are students from Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Oceania. Since last weekend, foreign programmers who saw Yekaterinburg for the first time have been sharing their impressions, posting photos, and writing comments on social networks and blogs.

"We have been in Russia for three days now, and you have very kind people. Yekaterinburg is a very cozy city," a member of the team from Fudan University (Shanghai) shared his impressions Tsang Chang, who visited the keyboard monument on the Iseti River embankment as part of his group.

On June 23, teams of programmers took part in the opening ceremony of the Championship, which was held at the Kosmos Cinema and Concert Theater. Well, today and tomorrow, computer geniuses will move to the Uralochka Palace of Gaming Sports, where a rehearsal and the final of the competition will take place. 122 teams will participate in the final: 7 from Africa and Central Asia, 42 from Asia, 33 from Europe, 17 from Latin America and 21 from North America, and 2 from Oceania.
