CVC and ARCC sign cooperation agreement

The Center for High-Rise and Unique Competencies (CVK) and the Association for the Development of Steel Construction (ARCC) have signed a cooperation agreement, which implies joint work on the development of high-rise and unique construction using steel and reinforced concrete structures.

In the world history of skyscraper construction, the construction of high-rise buildings on metal frames has been practiced since the construction of the first high-rise building in Chicago. In Russia, the use of metal frames in residential buildings was first tested on Stalin's skyscrapers in Moscow. One of the latest Russian examples of a metal-framed skyscraper is the Eurasia Tower of the Moscow City Business Center.

ARSS specialists and experts pay great attention to scientific developments in the design of high-rise buildings with steel frames. Combining the efforts of the two specialized organizations will help create favorable conditions for the construction of high-rise and unique structures using steel bearing structures, in particular, to develop joint solutions for the development of the regulatory and technical framework. Fruitful cooperation involves the organization of joint industry events, information support, and the exchange of experience.

We remind you that the Center for High-Rise and Unique Competencies in Construction was established with the support of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation as the executive body of the International Forum 100+ Forum Russia, based on the adopted Roadmap for improving the business climate in the construction of unique buildings and structures, including high-rise residential and public buildings.

The Association for the Development of Steel Construction (ARCC) was established by three major manufacturers of rolled metal products – EVRAZ, MECHEL, OMK. Among the participating organizations and partners of the Association are the British Institute of Steel Construction, the V.A. Kucherenko Central Research Institute, JSC SIC Stroitelstvo, Ruukki Rus, Metal-Don, Severstal Steel Solutions, ARUP, AECOM and others.
