Russia's tallest building and the country's only Norman Foster facility will compete for the 100+ AWARDS

The All-Russian Engineering and Architecture Award 100+ AWARDS is entering a new stage. The Expert Council reviewed 154 applications and selected 67 finalists. The winners of the award will be determined by a jury consisting of recognized Russian and foreign experts.

The most serious competition will unfold in the nominations "Best architectural solution – residential building", "Best architectural solution – non-residential building", "Best practice of BIM modeling" and "Best solution for creating a comfortable urban environment" – in each of them there are 7 contenders for victory. In the remaining nine categories, covering innovative materials, technologies and developments in construction, the number of finalists varies from 3 to 5.

Among the shortlisted sites are such large ones as the Lakhta Center (St. Petersburg), the headquarters of the Russian Copper Company (Yekaterinburg), the Crimean Bridge (Crimea), the buildings of the Moscow City complex (Moscow), the Vostochny port (Nakhodka), the former power plant, and in the future the House of Culture "GES-2" (Moscow) and many others.

The work of the jury will continue until September 15, 2021. Among those who will determine the winners are, for example, Juliette Jiang, Senior Vice President of the Chinese BROAD Group, Gil Penalosa, Chief Designer of GORPROEKT CJSC, Vladimir Travush, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Mikhail Posokhin, President of the National Association of Prospectors and Designers, Gil Penalosa, founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Canadian organization 880 Cities, and others. There are more than 50 specialists in total.

The 100+ AWARDS were founded as part of the International Construction Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition to reward specialists and creative teams who have made a significant contribution to the development of architectural and construction science, design, and development of capital construction facilities in Russia.

The winners will be solemnly awarded at the 100+ TechnoBuild, which will be held at the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC from October 5 to 7. This year, more than 100 sections are planned in the business program, and over 150 stands are planned in the exhibition area. The main areas of 100+ TechnoBuild will be energy efficiency, safety, green construction, innovative materials and technologies, and BIM design. The key theme of this year's forum and exhibition, "Dialogue of the Regions," was previously supported by Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.
