A record number of speakers spoke at the International Construction Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition

The VIII International Construction Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition, which took place in Yekaterinburg on October 5-7, gathered a record number of speakers – more than 500 experts spoke at 120 sessions. 20,000 viewers watched online broadcasts from the halls. The theme of this year's 100+ TechnoBuild was "Dialogue of the Regions". Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Irek Fayzullin discussed the future of the construction industry with developers and representatives of regional authorities at the plenary session.

"Of course, construction issues in the regions should be dealt with first. Where these issues are being addressed in the regions, there is success. (...) It is very good that this event is taking place in Yekaterinburg, we see a lot of good interesting projects there in terms of price-quality ratio," said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. 

In his welcoming speech, Irek Fayzullin noted the importance of dialogue between government officials and participants in the construction market for a more detailed study of the goals and objectives of the construction sector.

"Over the years, the forum has become a center for domestic and international communication on the main areas of development of the construction industry. There are many changes taking place to shorten the investment and construction cycle. Amendments to regulations are being adopted, government resolutions and orders from the Ministry of Construction are being developed, which will speed up the construction process. The proposals that will appear as a result of the forum's business program will be analyzed and put into operation by the Russian Ministry of Construction to achieve national goals and fulfill the instructions of the President and Prime Minister," said the Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Yakushev, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, added that the platform is gaining momentum.

"This forum concerns not only the Ural Federal District, but also the entire construction industry. The topics discussed here are very broad. For example, there are a lot of blank spots in the regulatory and technical documents, according to which buildings are being built today, and all this requires discussion," he said. 

The participants of 100+ TechnoBuild discussed trends and prospects in the field of building rationing, design, pricing, environmental construction, urban development models, and the experience of foreign companies. The Ministry of Construction of Russia and its subordinate institutions took an active part.

The exposition of the 100+ TechnoBuild exhibition was located on 30 thousand square meters.m., materials and technologies were presented by 225 companies. For the first time, the exhibitors occupied two pavilions of the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC at once. One of the most notable parts was the landscaping cluster in the form of a real park with trees, a fountain, playgrounds and sports grounds.

In three days, about 50 cooperation agreements were signed on the sidelines of the forum between the largest relevant companies and organizations. 

As part of the 100+ TechnoBuild, the award ceremony for the winners of the Russian Engineering Oscar, the All-Russian Engineering and Architecture Award 100+ AWARDS, was held for the first time. The 100+ AWARDS Grand Prix was awarded to GORPROEKT CJSC with the project of the Lakhta Center public and business complex (the future headquarters of the Gazprom Group of companies) in St. Petersburg. In total, the experts selected the winners in 7 nominations. 156 projects claimed the victory.

In addition, the forum hosted the first Worldskills industry standards championship in the field of urban planning and urbanism Urban Skills 2021, the XIII Ural Real Estate Forum, the Ural Mining Forum and the specialized exhibition "MINING/ Ural MINING", as well as the International Specialized Exhibition URALEXPOSTONE.
