Beijing will share its experience in building skyscrapers
Representatives of official relevant departments and entrepreneurs of the construction industry of the capital of the People's Republic of China will come to Yekaterinburg for the forum.
The official response to the invitation to participate in the forum was received from the Mayor of Beijing, Wang Anshun. The Mayor, on behalf of the People's Government of the city, wishes the Forum a success and notes: "High-rise buildings are an important component of a modern city, and also embody its spirit and culture in a concentrated form. In recent years, Beijing has been striving to raise the level of design and construction of high-rise buildings, making efforts to organically combine the practical functions and aesthetic value of buildings with the urban environment, and intends to enhance their role in the development of urban construction. I am sure that this Forum will provide representatives of cities and specialists in high-rise buildings with a good platform for a thorough discussion of the development of high-rise buildings. Beijing is ready to share its experience in the development of high-rise buildings with various cities around the world, including Yekaterinburg, in order to make a positive contribution to improving the urban environment and the lives of citizens."
Beijing is the capital of modern China, a city with a history of more than 3,000 years, interesting not only for historical sights. Modern buildings also deserve attention. One of the most unusual skyscrapers in Beijing is the headquarters of China Central Television, a 234-meter-high (44-story) structure that resembles the letter P. You can view the city from a bird's-eye view from the famous Beijing TV Tower, 405 meters high, built in 1992. The third tower of the Chinese World Trade Center has the status of an ultra–tall skyscraper - 330 meters and 74 above-ground floors.
Recently, skyscrapers in the form of giant smooth rocks were built in Beijing. The three towers with heights of 118, 127 and 200 meters have a similar curved shape and layered structure of facades. By 2016, it is planned to complete the construction of China Tsung, a 108-storey tower with a height of 528 meters. It will be the tallest building in Beijing, and the second largest high-rise in China.
