The 100+ Forum Russia will be able to show and discuss the most advanced construction technologies and concepts for creating a comfortable urban environment.
The International Forum of High-rise and Unique Construction 100+ Forum Russia will be held for the fourth time from October 4-6 in Yekaterinburg, at the Yekaterinburg Expo IEC with the support of the Russian Ministry of Construction. Elena Sierra and Natalia Antipina, Deputy Ministers of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, plan to take part in the event.
This year, the event will include a forum, an exhibition of the latest achievements and technologies in construction, educational cluster events and an off-site meeting of the Russian Ministry of Construction. The program will bring together stars of Russian and world architecture, widely recognized scientists and urbanists, leading research institutes and architectural bureaus, as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities to discuss the present and future of urban planning.
One of the important topics of the forum will be the priority project of the Ministry of Construction of Russia on the formation of a comfortable urban environment. On the topic of urban improvement, the forum will address a wide range of issues: the development of BIM technologies in design and construction, the creation of transport infrastructure, the preservation and integration of architectural monuments in modern megacities, the problem of "green" construction and urban ecology, the construction of bridges and large-span structures, the development of underground space and urbanism. Reports on these and other topics will be delivered by Vicente Guayart, former architect of Barcelona, Sergey Nikiforov, Chief Engineer of IFC Lakhta Center, Vladimir Travush, one of the authors of the Ostankino TV Tower project in Moscow, Kirsten Richie, Director of Sustainable Design at Gensler, and Speech, Head of the architectural bureau Sergey Choban, Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA) Wukan Vuchik, architectural historian, professor at New York University of Fine Arts Jean-Louis Cohen, participant in the construction of the tallest building in the world Rolf Katzenbach, senior vice president of BROAD Group, which built a 57-storey building in China in 19 days, Juliette Jiang and many others.
The Forum will once again become an effective communication platform where constructive decisions are made on the development of the construction industry. It should be recalled that in 2016, within the framework of the forum, practical work was carried out jointly with the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation on the most important document in the construction sector - the Code of Rules "High-rise Buildings and complexes. Design rules". This document has already been approved and put into effect since June 2017. The first edition of the document on fire safety in high-rise construction is planned to be discussed at the upcoming forum.
Also, at the 100+ Forum Russia, specialists from the Krylov State Scientific Center of St. Petersburg, who conducted mathematical and experimental modeling of the operation for transporting the navigable arches of the Crimean Bridge, will present a mock-up of their landscape wind tunnel and hold a number of thematic sessions for bridge builders. In addition to this center, a large scientific program for the forum was prepared by the country's leading research institutes: the National Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, SIC Stroitelstvo, Central Research Institute of Housing, the State Unitary Enterprise of the Moscow Region "Scientific Research and Design Institute of Urban Planning" and others.
At the 100+ ForumRussia exhibition, which will be held within the framework of the forum, the largest Russian and foreign enterprises will present innovative materials, technologies and unique construction methods. Thus, the exhibition will feature the development of the Ural enterprise for the construction of houses on a 3D printer. In addition, a test drive of construction equipment will be conducted for the participants of the event. In total, about 100 companies will take part in the exhibition.: These are builders and developers, developers of innovative construction technologies, designers, research and educational institutions.
The educational cluster will include seminars by leading Russian and foreign experts, master classes by representatives of world and domestic architecture, and open lectures by teachers and professors from the International Association of Construction Universities and the MARCH Moscow School of Architecture.
The annual assembly of the European Civil Engineering Education And Training Association (EUCEET) will be held. The event will be attended by the Administrative Council of the Association, consisting of the President of the Association, Professor of the University of City London Lawrence Frederick Boswell, Vice-President, Professor of the University of Pisa Diego Lo Presti and other representatives. The participants of the round table will consider the possibility of students' participation in European educational programs and grants. The Association includes 107 universities.
And as part of the business program of the IV International Forum of High-rise and Unique Construction 100+ Forum Russia, events dedicated to the project of the Ministry of Construction of Russia "I am the builder of the Future!" will be held. The program was initiated by the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia and developed with the participation of the department within the framework of the Decade of Childhood program, announced by Presidential Decree in Russia from 2018 to 2027. The aim of the project is to increase the interest of children and youth in professions in the field of construction, architecture, urban planning and housing and communal services.
Representatives of several regions of Russia, as well as Italy, China, Kazakhstan and other countries are planning to participate in the forum. In 2016, representatives of 17 countries and 97 cities took part in the forum, and more than 300 speakers presented their reports, 45 of them from abroad. 5,000 people are expected to participate in the 100+ Forum Russia in 2017. During the three days of the forum, more than 70 business events were held, 350 speakers, including 45 foreign speakers, will deliver reports and presentations.
