The 100+ Forum Russia will destroy the stereotypes that "green" construction is expensive
The topic of "green construction" will be comprehensively discussed at the international forum of high-rise and unique construction 100+ Forum Russia. The forum participants will see presentations by practitioners of energy-efficient construction, discussions of its application, as well as a business game that will show which energy-efficient solutions will save the buyer and earn the developer.
Energy-saving or "green" technologies in construction are gradually conquering the construction market. Home buyers see them as an opportunity to live comfortably, while saving on energy, and developers are responding to increased demand for such facilities.
"The attitude towards "green" construction has changed qualitatively for the better in recent years. If developers used to just shrug it off, now most are really immersed in the field and are striving to implement solutions that can not only reduce the operating costs of facilities, but also create a comfortable environment for users. This also happened because there was a demand for such facilities," says Evgeny Teslya, Deputy Director General for Sustainable Development at BUREAU of TECHNOLOGY (St. Petersburg).
Until recently, "green" facilities were developed and certified based on foreign standards. GREEN ZOOM is the first Russian environmental certification system in construction. It allows you to create high-quality real estate objects that are profitable for developers and investors, taking into account the Russian realities. In two years of operation, the system has been recognized by more than 25 developers, having certified their facilities. According to the developers of the system, it is a tool for practical and low-cost improvement of energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of real estate.
For the first time, the 100+ forum will host an educational business game about "green" construction, the GREEN ZOOM Game. Participants — students and developers — will be able to assess the degree of influence of "green" solutions on the level of sales of real estate in an interactive mode. According to the organizers, the game destroys the stereotypes that energy—efficient construction is expensive, incomprehensible and unnecessary for consumers and developers in Of Russia. A high-quality and eco-friendly development project will be implemented during the game. Participants will answer questions about how much a "green" building costs, which events are worth investing in, and which eco-friendly and energy-efficient solutions will meet the needs of buyers and earn money for the developer.
The first and only project in the world will be presented at the forum. Russia - GREEN ZOOM Lab educational program. The goal of the program is to combine the capabilities of Higher Education and the needs of the real estate market to create energy—efficient and environmentally friendly facilities. Right at the forum, young specialists will be offered to work with a real project, as a result, the developer will receive an initial report on the potential of his facility in terms of energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
A round table of experts "Sustainable development: Debunking 7 Russian myths about energy efficiency" will be held. Scientists and practitioners will share their real-world experience in implementing "green" projects in Russia, as well as talk about adapting global practices to Russian reality. Thus, as part of the business program of the 100+ forum, a thematic session will be held with the participation of specialists in "green" construction from the UK. The speaker will include renowned expert Guy Eames, who headed the Council for Environmental Construction in Russia (RuGBC), the largest association in the field of "green" construction in the Russian Federation.
