Experts will choose the best Yekaterinburg City project at the 100+ Forum Russia
UMMC-Holding announces an open international competition for the best architectural and artistic concept of the multifunctional urban center Yekaterinburg City. Professional architects and designers, as well as students of specialized universities and faculties, are invited to participate.
As part of the competition task, it is necessary to make a project for the development of a site for Yekaterinburg City: to think over the functional zoning of the territory, propose a spatial solution for the complex, find an architectural and artistic image of the object, propose a building concept, execute a draft design of the stylobate space, and show the high-rise buildings conditionally. According to the terms of the competition, it is necessary to provide for the qualities inherent in "sustainable architecture" and develop a plan for the preservation of historical buildings in the City. The project should include three new high-rise buildings (150-200 m, 100-200 m, 250-270 m), a stylobate 2-5 floors high, several residential buildings up to 75 m, underground parking, a concert hall for 2000-2500 people.
The competition is held in one round. The presentation of the best projects, summing up and awarding the winners will take place at the 100+ Forum Russia on October 5-7, 2016.
The official start of accepting applications will be announced on April 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO IEC at EXPO BUILD RUSSIA. Alexey Belyshev, Deputy Head of the Yekaterinburg City Administration for Capital Construction and Land Use, Sergey Yerypalov, Director of Capital Construction and Investments at UMMC-Holding, and Vera Belous, Executive Director of the Ural Builders Guild, will talk about the terms of the competition, the jury and the prize fund.
