The President of the World Council on High-Rise Buildings and the Urban Environment (CTBUH) is going to the 100+ Forum Russia
The President of the CTBUH (2009-2011), Professor of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Design at Sang Dae Kim University of Korea, confirmed his participation in the forum. The former head of the World Council on High-rise Buildings and the Urban Environment will speak as a speaker and talk about engineering support for skyscrapers.
Sang Dae Kim holds a PhD in Building and structure design. Today, he teaches a number of disciplines at Korea University. These include structural strength analysis, design of steel structures, dynamic characteristics of structures, seismic analysis, design and analysis of high-rise buildings.
Professor Sang Dae Kim served as the president of the CTBUH in the past, and in 2008 he founded the Korean division of the CTBUH.
The CTBUH (Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, World Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Environment) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1969 at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago (USA). The main purpose of the Council's work is to disseminate information and exchange experience in the construction of high-rise buildings and the creation of a healthy urban environment. The Council actively promotes the international exchange of experience between professionals in the field of high-rise construction.
CTBUH is considered the world's leading expert on high-rise construction and in the field of information on high-rise buildings. The Council evaluates the height of buildings, awards the title "World's Tallest Building" and maintains the world's only database of completed, under construction, and proposed tall buildings.
