"We have chosen the right topic, it is of great interest"  Vyacheslav Trapeznikov, Executive Secretary of the organizing committee of the 100+ Forum Russia, commented on the holding of the first seminar of the Center for High-altitude Competencies.

The seminar "High-rise and unique construction in the regions of Russia" has become one of the popular events of the business program of the international exhibition Build Ural, which opened yesterday in Yekaterinburg. It was attended by more than 70 representatives of design organizations and construction companies from Moscow, Yekaterinburg and neighboring regions. The guests unanimously noted that interest in high-rise construction has increased significantly today. The construction of high-rise residential complexes has become commonplace, and many cities with millions of residents are seriously considering the implementation of 100+ projects.

As before, the construction of skyscrapers in Yekaterinburg remains the only example of high-rise construction in the regions of Russia. A specialist from the Vysotka construction company, which participated in the construction of the Iset Tower and the Vysotsky Business Center, spoke about the experience of building buildings above 100 meters in our climate.

The need to use special formwork in the construction of high-rise and unique structures is becoming an increasingly discussed topic. Vladimir Nikitin, Head of the regional department of DOKA RUS, spoke about the experience of using special formwork systems in the construction of world-famous skyscrapers in China, Korea, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates. Alexander Ryshkova, Head of the PERI representative office in the Ural Federal District, presented a report on the use of formwork equipment in Moscow City skyscrapers and Yekaterinburg skyscrapers.

Russian experience in the field of development and application of formwork systems was considered using the example of the construction of unique structures using Stalform systems. Pavel Zolotarev, Technical Director of STALFORM Engineering, showed the participants a film about the construction of bridges, sports arenas, tunnels, and subway stations. Alexey Aksenov, Regional Director of the Forthrent Ural branch, spoke about the use of lifting equipment.

Equally relevant are the issues of the use of high-strength concrete. Alesander Lozhkin, a representative of MC Bauchemi, and Tatiana Frolova, director of the TestBeton Testing Laboratory, introduced the audience to the practice of developing special concrete mixes that meet the requirements for materials in high-rise construction.

The need to generalize the global and Russian experience of skyscraper construction was discussed at the high-rise construction forum last year in Yekaterinburg. One of the results of the work was the creation of the Center for High-altitude Competencies in Yekaterinburg, as the executive body of the International Forum 100+ Forum Russia. The initiative was supported by the Russian Ministry of Construction. The Central Exhibition Center began its work in January of this year.
