Music center in Paris: steel sail, wooden openwork shell and roof garden
The project of the Cite Musicale Cultural center was developed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban in collaboration with Jean de Gastines Architectes.
Cite Musicale includes two concert halls with 6,000 and 1,150 seats, as well as classrooms, rehearsal rooms, recording studios, backstage locker rooms and management facilities. One of the features of this project is the nest-shaped hall, which will be "wrapped" in a wooden frame and located above the pool. The steel structures of complex shape for the roof supporting the garden were designed by the company "IncideEngineering" (Italy).
