Martin Powell: "Yekaterinburg is a beautiful city"
Martin Powell, former environmental Adviser to London Mayor Boris Johnson, head of the Urban Development Department at the Expert Advisory Center "Crystal" of Siemens, shares his impressions of Yekaterinburg:
- I liked Yekaterinburg. The city is beautiful. I noticed that it is gradually starting to be built up with high-rise buildings, which increases the population density. However, there are still many green areas in the city. The abundance of empty spaces creates opportunities for the development of Yekaterinburg in the future, which will contribute to the creation of new jobs. In my opinion, high–rise construction in this situation is the path that all modern megacities are following. This is a path leading to the development of the use of modern technologies in cities. I would like to note that local Yekaterinburg developers and specialists are very competent and are doing everything to increase the attractiveness and efficiency of buildings being built for business.
