Results of the 100+ Forum Russia press conference

A press conference of the V International Forum and Exhibition of High-rise and Unique Construction 100+ Forum Russia 2018 took place in Yekaterinburg at the TASS press center.

The press conference was attended by Arkady Mikhailovich Chernetsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Northern Affairs, Mikhail Mikhailovich Volkov, Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, Alexander Gennadyevich Vysokinsky, head of Yekaterinburg, Sergey Platonovich Lekomtsev, coordinator of NOSTROY for the Ural Federal District, President of the Ural Builders Association.

During the press conference, the participants talked about the concept, business program, iconic topics and speakers of the 100+ Forum Russia 2018, as well as discussed the readiness of the city and the region to host a large-scale specialized event, the development of the construction industry in the region.

"The International Forum and exhibition of high-rise and unique construction 100+ Forum Russia will be held in Yekaterinburg for the fifth time. It can be said that the event has already become traditional, large-scale, and has acquired the status of one of the largest regional engineering and construction congresses in Russia. The topic of the forum will be information modeling technologies. There is an active conversation about digital technologies now. The era of digital construction is coming. Judging by the interest shown by our colleagues, we expect the number of participants to increase to ten thousand this year. 350 speakers were invited to the forum, including 30 foreign experts who are well–known in the global architectural environment. In addition, it is planned to hold an exhibition with 100 exhibitors. The main plenary session will be held on December 7 and will be attended by the heads of the Ministry. We will summarize the results and formulate the main tasks, make changes to the ministry's activity plans in order to take into account the wishes of our colleagues as much as possible," said Arkady Mikhailovich Chernetsky.

Mikhail Mikhailovich Volkov spoke about the federal support for the forum: "The Forum will traditionally be held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Construction. This year, the Organizing Committee of the forum was headed by Vladimir Yakushev, Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation. He plans his visit on December 7, will take part in the final plenary session, and together with his deputies will inspect the exhibition exposition. Representatives of subordinate organizations of the Russian Ministry of Construction and leading research institutes are also expected. Their participation in the business program of the forum has been significantly expanded this year. A section meeting of the Russian Ministry of Construction will be held, the main issues of which will be the regulatory regulation of the construction industry and pricing in construction. Also, an open meeting of the FAA Glavgosexpertiza of Russia will be held within the framework of the forum, dedicated to the issues of conducting state expertise of project documentation."

"Yekaterinburg is ready to host the Forum, we have experience in holding major events. Today, we are witnessing a dramatic change in the city as a whole. The city is growing skyward. About 80 buildings up to 70 meters are under construction. What is high-rise construction? This is a factor of investment attractiveness. Today, Yekaterinburg, after Moscow and St. Petersburg, is the leader among the million-plus cities in construction. It is encouraging that this 100+ forum is being held as a joint forum of large construction businesses and government authorities. It is very important. Representatives of almost all million-plus cities will come to us. We offer the forum participants an active dialogue and invite representatives of the urban community and business journalists to join it," stressed Alexander Gennadievich Vysokinsky.

Sergey Platonovich Lekomtsev spoke about a seminar that will be held within the framework of the forum by the national Association of Builders NOSTROY. "We will discuss the experience of interaction between authorities, supervisors and self-regulatory organizations. We invite everyone who is interested in this dialogue to this seminar. In addition, we will summarize the results of the Construction Triumph competition, where we determine the best real estate in several categories."
