Renzo Piano's innovative project will be presented in Yekaterinburg for the first time.
At the 100+ Forum Russia, the leadership of the municipality of Italy's largest port city will present a spatial development strategy and a renovation project for the historic Blue Print embankment, developed by the architectural firm Renzo Piano. Italian representatives will hold two thematic sessions at the forum: one of them will be devoted to urbanism and the development of modern cities, the other to the project of the Pritzker Prize–winning Italian architect, known for such unique objects as the Shard skyscraper in London (Great Britain), the Georges Pompidou National Center for Art and Culture in Paris (France), Aquarium in Genoa (Italy), San Nicola Stadium in Bari (Italy) and others.
The official delegation of the City of Genoa will include Deputy Mayor of Genoa Emanuele Piazza, Director of the Department of Promotion and Tourism of the City Municipality Cesare Torrei, President of the real estate company of the city administration, involved in the implementation of the Blue Print project, Stefano Francolini.
Genoa is the largest seaport in Italy, the sixth largest city in the country, and is considered the city with the largest historical center in Europe.
