Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev approved the format of the 100+ TechnoBuild in Yekaterinburg
The VII International Forum and Exhibition 100+ TechnoBuild will be held offline and online on October 20-22, 2020. The format of the event was approved at a regional meeting of the Organizing Committee chaired by the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, on September 2, 2020.
It was decided to change the original dates, as several other mass events were planned in Yekaterinburg in early October. For the organizers of 100+, the health and safety of participants and guests is above all.
"Foreign speakers cannot or are not ready to come to the event, which led to the transfer of some sections of the business program online," said Arkady Chernetsky, Senator of the Federation Council, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee. "Some of the companies that actively participated in exhibitions across the country in previous years are withdrawing from participation this year due to budget cuts or switching to remote operation."
In this regard, instead of the two pavilions of the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC, planned according to the previously approved strategy, the exhibition will be held in one – on an area of 20,000 square meters, the forum will be held in the congress center. According to the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, a limited number of people will be able to stay in the premises.
However, the event managed to retain all the co-organizers. The topics of the sections of the Ministry of Construction of Russia are already known: "Transformation of urban planning legislation: simplicity and safety" and "Housing construction after the pandemic: expectation and reality". In addition, the Ministry of Construction actively participates in the discussion of the concept of the Plenary Session.
Vera Belous, Executive Director of the Ural Builders Guild and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee, told the audience more about the business program.
"This year's 100+ business program includes 87 sections. 320 speakers will speak, including 23 foreign speakers," Vera Belous said. – Despite the coronavirus situation, 14 delegations from Russian regions have already registered for the event, including seven ministers of construction and four deputy ministers of construction, as well as four delegations from Russian cities. 100 stands will be presented at the 100+ Technologies for Cities exhibition."
Thus, the event, created on the initiative of the Yekaterinburg construction community, continues to grow. In seven years, it has grown from a small city forum into the largest industry event in the country's regions, where builders and authorities have the opportunity for effective dialogue. 100+ has become a kind of construction "Innoprom", along with this industrial exhibition and Hi-Tech, forming the image of the Sverdlovsk region.
The organizing committee members also made adjustments related to the coronavirus pandemic to the TechnoBuild 100+ development strategy until 2023. But the main goals remained unchanged: to increase the number of exhibition spaces to 50,000 square meters, the number of exhibitors to 500, the number of business program sections to 100, and finally secure the status of the main site for shaping the global and technological construction agenda.
