Vicente Guayart, Spanish urbanist, former chief architect of Barcelona, co-founder of the Institute of Contemporary Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), head of the international Laboratory for Experimental urban design "Shukhov Lab" Higher School of Urban Studies of the National Research University of Higher School of Economics in Moscow and the international Master's program "Prototyping cities of the Future: City and Technology". At the 2017 forum, he defined the architect's main task as follows: "The chief Architect is not only engaged in new buildings and construction projects, he must see the city as a single organism, a system. These include the environment, energy, water resources, residential construction, and population migration within the city. This means that the role of an architect is not only to build by developing a master plan for the development of the city, but also to "see" the city from a global perspective."

Vicente Guayart believes that today it is necessary to form the "cities of the future" in which we want to live tomorrow.
