The head of the Russian Ministry of Construction has approved the dates of the international construction forum and exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
In 2020, the VII International Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition will be held on October 6-8 at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Center. This date has been agreed upon by the forum's organizing committee, which is headed by Vladimir Yakushev, Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation.
"The major construction forum and exhibition in Yekaterinburg, which are held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Construction, have established themselves as an excellent platform for our professional community to discuss topical issues of the development of the construction industry, the transformation of our cities, as a platform for the exchange of experience and best international practices. We pay special attention to the implementation of information modeling at all stages of the life cycle in construction and the creation of smart cities," the minister said.
The forum's business program is currently being developed, with 90 events on its agenda, including six one-day forums. 350 Russian and international speakers are invited to participate. Invitations have also been sent to the heads of all Russian regions and mayors of cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants.
Leading foreign experts have confirmed their participation in the business program of the forum. Martin Gran, partner of Snøhetta, Managing Director of Snøhetta Design. The Norwegian Architectural Bureau is a recognized leader in the field of energy efficient projects. The architects of the bureau have designed an office building that produces twice as much electricity as it consumes daily — Powerhouse Brattørkaia in Trondheim (Norway). The company's portfolio also includes a competitive project for a comprehensive public housing development on Vasilyevsky Island in In St. Petersburg, in Grozny, the Hussein bin Talal Park was built according to the design of the bureau.

Leading Russian and foreign companies will present technologies, innovative developments, equipment and unique construction methods at the exhibition: the German concern BASF, the Finnish companies Uponor and Peikko, the international company Kermi, the manufacturers of elevator equipment OTIS Elevator and the Chelyabinsk elevator plant Witchel. In the thematic area "Urban Infrastructure", the products of the Novouralsky Metalwork Plant under the Streetlight brand will be presented — lighting complexes, various structures for landscaping.

In 2019, the forum, which was held in conjunction with the celebration of World Cities Day, was attended by 10,757 participants from 33 countries. 80 business sections were held, 336 speakers spoke. 122 exhibitors from 10 countries, 11 regions and 18 cities of Russia took part in the 100+ Technologies for Cities exhibition.
