Yekaterinburg has confirmed the title of a high-rise city

Yekaterinburg, where the international forum of high-rise and unique construction is held annually, is recognized as the tallest city in Russia with the exception of Moscow.

The height rating was published by the international Internet forum of high-rise construction skyscrapercity.com . According to him, the Ural capital received the highest score — 82.5 points, for the first time in history overtaking St. Petersburg, which took 81.24 points.

The scoring system provides for accounting for floors above the 25th floor in every commissioned house in every Russian city. In this case, underground floors, as well as technical ones, are not considered if there are no functional ones above them. Yekaterinburg's collection includes 52 buildings ranging in height from 26 to 53 floors.

The title of the tallest city outside of Moscow was cemented in the Ural capital when the tallest skyscraper outside of Moscow, the Vysotsky Business Center (188 m, 53 floors), was built here. The city first declared itself as a high-rise center in the regions in 2014, when the 100+ Forum Russia was held in Yekaterinburg for the first time and the Center for High-Rise and Unique Competencies in Construction was established.
