More than SRO: about the unique initiatives of the Association of Builders of the Urals

The Ural Builders Association is a leading association with the competence to represent the interests of the professional community of the region. The SRO includes the largest developers and contractors in the Middle Urals.

Since 2013, the Association has been successfully implementing projects unique even for the country, the International Construction Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild exhibition, as well as the citywide Builder's Day holiday in Yekaterinburg. The initiator and operator of both events is the Ural Builders Association.

100+ TechnoBuild is a successful format

The 100+ TechnoBuild Forum and Exhibition is the largest industry event in the Russian regions. The organizing Committee of the event is headed by the Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation Vladimir Yakushev, who also participates in the events of the business program. 100+ is dedicated to the design, construction and operation of high-rise and unique facilities of any purpose, architecture, urban planning, energy efficiency, comfortable urban environment, landscaping. The forum continues to make a special contribution to the discussion of issues of regulatory and technical regulation of the industry.

In 2019, 10,757 people from 33 countries took part in the event, 80 sections were held, and 336 speakers, including 40 foreign speakers, presented their reports. 122 exhibitors from 10 countries, 11 regions and 18 cities of Russia worked in the exhibition area.

The VII International Forum and the 100+ TechnoBuild Exhibition will be held in Yekaterinburg from October 6 to October 8. The organizers will invite the construction community to discuss the topic of conscious construction. The main areas of discussion are BIM technologies at all stages of the project life cycle, regulatory and technical regulation of the construction industry, technologies for creating and design features of unique facilities, urban planning and a comfortable urban environment, "green" architecture, as well as digital, fire and public safety.

This year, for the first time in 100+, a unique BIM hackathon with the participation of designers and architects from all over the world, a case championship for students in "green" construction, and climate engineering competitions will be held.

The 100+ exhibition will be housed in two pavilions with a total area of 30,000 square meters. meters and will accommodate 200 stands. At the initiative of the Ural Builders Association, our holiday is held in the format of citywide family celebrations. More than 60 thousand people attend the event annually.

Builder's Day starts with the All-Russian professional skills competition "Stroymaster". The project "My Construction Dynasty" is also being implemented and an industry sports contest is being held. An important part of the celebration was the "Mrs. Stroycomplex" contest, which has already made hundreds of our colleagues feel like queens.

According to good tradition, the core of the holiday was family festivities in the central city park of Yekaterinburg. Dozens of activities are available to our guests — a field kitchen, construction workshops, free rides, a car raffle, a show of dancing construction equipment, performances by stars, a dance marathon and much more. Traditionally, the program ends with a large city fireworks display. Builder's Day in Yekaterinburg is one of the largest professional holidays in Russia.

Dialogue between the government and the professional community

The Ural Builders Association is a unique and established communication platform for developing and promoting industry interests. The SRO has a significant voice in the industry's dialogue with the government and natural monopolies.

Among the priorities of the work are issues of the master plan and local regulation, regular training seminars, as well as the organization of discussions on topical industry topics. The Association is represented at all levels of advisory bodies on investment and construction activities, and regularly organizes open dialogues between developers and urban communities. So, in February 2020, the SRO gathered officials, developers, architects, and simply caring citizens at one table to resolve issues of coordinating the architectural and urban appearance of Yekaterinburg. The participants talked about finding a balance between the interests of business, the city and architecture in the current legal reality.

In particular, to this end, in 2020, the Ural Builders Association initiated another series of meetings between developers and resource supply companies in the region.
