BIM technologies in construction today - tomorrow has already arrived
The All-Russian BIM Technologies Forum will be held within the framework of the 100+ Forum Russia for the second year in a row. Given the popularity of the topic last year, when additional chairs had to be placed in the halls for the audience, it was decided to make the Russian BIM Technologies Forum a two-day event this year, with 7 sections in its program.
The Forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Volkov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, comments on the importance of discussing the concept of implementing a lifecycle management system for capital construction facilities using information modeling technologies: "The introduction of new technologies is not an easy task, for which the Russian Ministry of Construction works in close cooperation with industry experts and business representatives. The main purpose of the document's development was to create comfortable, modern housing and an urban environment for the country's citizens. The holding of the Russian BIM Technologies Forum within the framework of the 100+ Forum Russia creates a convenient platform for the exchange of experience with leading experts in the field of BIM technologies."
The main issues for discussion will be:
- BIM 3D: Domestic and foreign experience of information modeling of buildings and structures,
- BIM 4D: Object and Project Management – implementation of BIM technology
- BIM 6D: Operation of facilities based on information modeling
- BIM and technical customer
More than 40 experts using BIM at various stages of the building lifecycle will take part in the forum: customers, designers, builders and operating organizations. Among the experts of the forum are Marina Korol (CONCURATOR LLC), Natalia Agafonova (INGRAD Project), Alexander Popov (SEVERIN DEVELOPMENT), Jan Maersky (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Proma Group), Alexander Shakhnovich (Managing Director of KazNIISA JSC).
Representatives of leading BIM vendors will also participate in the discussions: Autodesk, Graphisoft, Renga, Allbau, Trimble, Nanosoft, Lira, etc.
Vladimir Talapov, an expert on the implementation of BIM in Russia and other countries, author of more than 200 publications on the topic of AEC/BIM, corresponding member of the IIAAM, will talk about how to build the process and work with the customer: "The process of information modeling for both the created and existing object is a complex and continuous interaction with There are many participants, but there are also main figures in this process. During the construction of a building, this is the technical customer, while when working with an existing building, it is the owner (operator). It mainly depends on them how BIM will be implemented and what benefits it will bring. Therefore, I plan to talk about how a customer or owner should organize work in BIM, what goals to pursue and what results to get. This topic is still being discussed very little in our country, but I hope that we will not only get acquainted with the materials of the reports, but also have a good discussion with the audience," admits Vladimir Vasilyevich.
Vera Burtseva, General Director of the BUREAU of TECHNOLOGY, will tell you how not to start working with BIM. This is how Vera Burtseva herself explains why she decided to share her experience, "according to Autodesk, our company is one of the best companies in Russia in the field of creating BIM models of engineering systems. We have been doing this for the last 7 years and have been pioneers. Not everything worked out right away. Now, looking back, we can tell you what didn't work out and what shouldn't be repeated."
"Changing the role of an architect in the digital industry" is the topic of the report by Alexey Kushnir, head of the Information Modeling department at the Swedish architectural bureau Semrén & Månsson."Since the establishment of the architectural bureau, along with the architectural aspects, we have been working no less enthusiastically on the economic and technical aspects of design. We are creating an architecture that stands the test of time in economic, social, energy-saving, and environmental terms. And in order to bring the investor closer to understanding the project by providing the necessary information, we use data analysis tools for information models, marketing and technical properties of objects, economic and financial calculations," says Alexey Kushnir.
