BIM technologies will be the beginning of a new digital era in construction

Experts predict that the transition to BIM technologies in the construction sector, despite their high cost, will take place in the coming years. Now in About 20% of enterprises in Russia use BIM technologies. According to preliminary forecasts, standards for information management and information modeling in construction will be formed at the legislative level in the near future. This will allow construction companies to reach a new level.

This year, for the first time, the Russian BIM Technology Forum "BIM for construction" will be held as part of the 100+ Forum Russia. The program includes topics on the design of unique facilities using BIM (BIM 3D), construction management (BIM 4D) and pricing in budget and non-budget organizations (BIM 5D). The specialists will also discuss the application of BIM technologies at the facility operation stage (BIM 6D). One of the sessions will be devoted to the use of BIM technologies at all stages of the facility's life cycle (from the beginning of the feasibility study to the reconstruction of the facility).

Among the speakers is one of the leading experts in Russia on the implementation of BIM technologies, Professor of the Department of Architectural Design of Buildings and Structures at Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin), a columnist on computer technologies for website design. isicad.ru and proBIM.ru Vladimir Talapov and Maxim Nechiporenko, Deputy CEO of Renga Software, the first Russian developer of BIM solutions..

Questions proposed for discussion:

  • formation of a regulatory framework and a system of state standards in the field of information modeling technologies in construction;
  • practical skills in using foreign and Russian software for information modeling of buildings and structures,
  • urban planning design using innovative technologies;
  • the expediency of using BIM technologies to calculate the cost of construction by design companies when creating project documentation;
