Lakhta Center Tower: the facade of the building will be made of unique cold-rolled glass

In October, the 100+ Forum Russia will host an object section dedicated to the construction of the IFC Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg. The leading specialists of the Inforsproekt company, General Director Alexey Shakhvorostov and head of the Metal structures department Alexander Timofeevich, will talk about the features of the construction of steel and reinforced concrete structures of the Lakhta Center high-rise tower (design height 462 m). Reports on unique cold-rolled glass enclosing structures and monitoring of a high-rise building during construction will also be attached.

Last year, at the Lakhta Center facility section, experts spoke about the successful completion of the "zero cycle" work.

The Lakhta Center is a multifunctional social and business complex, the core of which will be the headquarters of the Gazprom Group of companies. More than half of the space will be devoted to public functions: a scientific and educational complex, a planetarium, exhibition spaces, a medical center, a multifunctional hall for congresses, conferences, theatrical productions, musical and costume performances, a sports center, an outdoor amphitheater and a number of other public services, including a bank branch, shops, restaurants, cafes and etc. The total area of buildings and structures will be 400,000 m2. The construction of the complex is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

The following works are currently underway at the facility:
- Construction of the core floors above the second outrigger level (35-39 floors).
- Installation of metal structures on the thirtieth floors (30-34 floors).
- Works on the stylobate of the complex.
- Works on metal structures of the MFZ (2-6 floors).
