The Association of Builders of the Urals and the largest developers of the city have allocated more than 7 million rubles for protective equipment for emergency doctors in Yekaterinburg.
The Association of Builders of the Urals handed over the first batch of 1,000 special protective suits to the municipal budgetary institution V.F. Kapinos Ambulance Station, and the second batch of 7,000 disposable protective clothing sets made of nonwovens will be delivered by May 18. In addition to the suits, the builders will purchase protective kits for infectious diseases specialists for the doctors. In total, the doctors will receive more than 20,000 SIZOs from the builders of the city.
Key developers of Yekaterinburg took part in the targeted assistance project.:
- NPP Stroytek LLC,
- PRINZIP (LLC "Principle"),
- Prospect Development LLC,
- Riviera Invest Ecb LLC,
- Pervostroitel LLC,
- LLC "Cowberry",
- EKB-Stroy-Invest LLC,
- And also the Association of Builders of the Urals.
These and other developers in Yekaterinburg have been actively helping the city's services since the first days of the pandemic, and this work will continue: SIZOs for doctors are just one stage, and the issue of the next priority area of assistance is being resolved. The pool of philanthropists from among the builders is constantly replenished.
"We have analyzed all aspects and bottlenecks related to the pandemic in Yekaterinburg: various options for charitable assistance have been considered. The Council of the SRO decided to help the municipal budgetary institution "V.F. Kapinos Ambulance Station". These doctors are in the so-called "red zone" of working with patients with the new COVID–19, doctors are at high risk of infection, which means that personal protective equipment is the most necessary for them today. Builders have always been responsible for healthcare and workers in the field, so we want to say "thank you" to the doctors," explained Vyacheslav Trapeznikov, President of the Association.
To date, 17 emergency medical teams are working in Yekaterinburg to respond to suspected COVID-19 calls – 7 units at substation No. 15 in Akademicheskoye and 10 units at substation No. 7 in Sorting. However, in the context of a pandemic, special protective equipment is needed by doctors and drivers of other substations in the city.
"We are trying to provide absolutely all ambulance crews with personal protective equipment. Yes, the crews of substations 7 and 15 work with a certain contingent of patients whose COVID status is known, they are fully equipped with PPE purchased by our institution, as well as thanks to various organizations that take part in equipping medical organizations with suits, masks and respirators. Also, all other NSR teams working in the city need protection from the virus. They visit patients whose coronavirus status is unknown in most cases. I think it's wrong to ignore this fact. In this regard, it is necessary to equip all emergency medical personnel with personal protective equipment. I would like to express my gratitude to the companies and entrepreneurs who are ready to provide us with any assistance," explained Igor Pushkarev, chief physician of the municipal budgetary institution V.F. Kapinos Ambulance Station.
In addition, the Association of Builders of the Urals continues to actively work to support the construction industry in the context of the pandemic: a hotline is operating, an information resource with current legislative acts and orders is updated daily, and the situation in the industry is being monitored (pace, prices of materials, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological conditions).
