Architects of the future to perform in Yekaterinburg

An "Architectural Marathon" will be held at 100+ TechnoBuild for the second time. From September 29 to October 2, visiting architects and project team leaders will share their vision of the "House of the Future" in the broadest sense — as a global anthropogenic landscape that we design for ourselves and future generations.

The "Architectural Marathon" will be opened by a lecture by the Director of the HSE Center for Scientific and Technological Forecasting. Alexander Chulok will present a semantic trend map based on the analysis of big data using the domestic iFORA system, and will also explain what competencies will be needed by the heads of architectural and construction companies in five years.

On the same day, the CEO and chief architect of the Chinese company Turenscape, which deals with climate-resistant architecture, will talk about the concept of "sponge cities" — more than 1,000 such projects have been implemented in the world, but not one in Russia yet.

Alex Bitus (Buro Bitus) will present vivid infrastructure cases related to the construction of airports in Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, and Novy Urengoy.

A separate section of the marathon will be dedicated to the changing appearance of megacities. Elena Strugovets, an expert at the APEX design bureau, will present approaches to creating images and silhouettes of high-rise buildings using the example of the Aurus Residences and Omni_Tower complexes under construction.

""Andrey Gnezdilov, co-founder of the Ostozhenka bureau, author of urban planning concepts for Moscow, Ufa, Samara, Irkutsk, Sevastopol, will tell about the experience of planning multi-storey buildings and the "canvas" of the city.

Katerina Levant (ABD architects) will share the principles of designing commercially successful business spaces, and tell you how the requirements for the work environment and organization of business complexes have changed over the past 20 years.

""Architectural Marathon" will feature more than 20 speakers, who will discuss the topics of designing educational spaces, residential buildings, unique and high-rise buildings, as well as the Russian style in an up-to-date reading.

"We tried to present the widest possible range of areas of work for modern architects: residential, commercial, infrastructural, industrial real estate, work with master plans, and selected the most active representatives in each of these areas," emphasizes Dmitry Skutin, Program Director of 100+ TechnoBuild. —Visitors to the arch marathon will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the topic together with an interested architect-practitioner and come to their own conclusions and ideas — this is useful for everyone, from heads of architectural bureaus to students."

The theme of architecture in the 100+ TechnoBuild business program will continue with the presentation of the 100+ AWARDS — this year among the nominations is "Architect of the Future". A commemorative plaque will be awarded to one of the Russian architects for his significant contribution to the appearance of modern buildings and cities.
