100+ SPEAKERS: Yuli Borisov, Co-founder and Chief Architect of the UNK project design bureau

Last year, the UNK project and the Danish architectural company CEBRA built the educational complex "Point of the Future" in Irkutsk (photo – in the carousel). The facility was recognized as one of the best examples of modern school architecture in Russia.

As noted by Yuli Borisov, this project is of colossal complexity and scale, unprecedented for Russia.

"I think it's very appropriate that our colleagues from the Danish CEBRA were involved in the work, a bureau with experience in architectural research, developing new trends in education, which has already implemented projects of modern schools in its portfolio. This work has enriched us a lot, given us useful experience in the field of designing school buildings. Versatility and flexibility are the foundation of the modern world, and we have incorporated this into the curriculum of a modern school. Children are immediately taught to live, work, study, and interact in complex spaces."
