100+ Speaker: Fadi Jabri

100+ TechnoBuild will be visited by Fadi Jabri, Executive Director of the Nikken Sekkei Architectural Bureau (Japan). L

About the decentralization of cities using the example of Japan:

"In Japan, developers have their main business on the railway, and they are seriously reviewing their business model as fewer and fewer people use public transport. Therefore, developers are trying to create new strategies to develop real estate not only in the center, but also in remote areas where many people live," said Fadi Jabri.

According to him, railway companies in Japan, as a rule, have developed the end points of railway lines, but now they plan to create large subcenters along the railways, which will avoid a large flow of people to the city center.

About the office trend:

"The first trend that we see in the office market is that the density of the premises will be much more comfortable. In the future, offices will have 30-40% fewer employees. They are also designed taking into account the increased distance between workplaces."

Nikken Sekkei is currently developing the Okhta Cape (St. Petersburg) and has called its concept "poetic."

"The history of St. Petersburg has always been connected with ships, it has been a port city from the very beginning," explained Fadi Jabri, "so our idea was named the Crystal Ship. According to him, the place where the Gazprom Neft headquarters will be built is very rich from an architectural point of view with objects of different construction times - Smolny Cathedral and Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge are nearby. The new building should, according to the idea of the authors of the concept, become part of the "trilogy of attractions".

"Corporations used to protect themselves from people by building fences, but here we are creating a space for residents, an open park where you can hold many events," says Fadi Jabri.

You will be able to talk with the speaker and ask questions within the framework of 100+ on October 5-7 at the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC. The detailed schedule and topics of the presentations will be published closer to the dates of the 100+ TechnoBuild.
