"I thank the 100+ Forum Russia working group for their help in organizing and holding the celebration of World Cities Day 2019 in Yekaterinburg. Thanks to you, it is in Russia hosted the largest celebration in its history and it was a success. The celebration of World Cities Day in Yekaterinburg in 2019 was another confirmation of the ever-growing cooperation between UN-Habitat and The Russian Federation, the Sverdlovsk Region, and Yekaterinburg. I want to confirm our intention to further develop cooperation with Russia in the implementation of the New Urban Development Program, the Sustainable Development Goals and The UN-Habitat Strategic Plan for 2020-2023.
