100+ Forum & Expo presented at the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi

On the eve of the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi (UAE), a presentation of the stand of the Russian Federation took place. The solemn event was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Executive Director of UN-Habitat Maimuna Mohd Sharif, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexey Orlov and Deputy Director General of JSC Dom.Russian Federation" Denis Filippov.

Vera Belous, head of the 100+ Forum & Expo working group, is taking part in the World Urban Forum delegation.

In her welcoming speech, the head of UN-Habitat noted the high rates of development of Russian cities, especially Moscow and Yekaterinburg. "I visited the Ural capital last fall as part of the celebration of World Cities Day there and was pleasantly surprised by how fast the city is developing and becoming more comfortable to live in."
