100+ AWARDS: the contenders for the victory in the nomination "The best constructive solution – residential building" have been named

We are publishing the shortlist of the nomination "The best constructive solution - residential building" of the All–Russian Engineering and Architectural Award 100+ AWARDS. It is among these companies that the jury will select the winners.

The Ural design group presents a composite column of differentiated configuration at different levels of the "Transition column". As a rule, if 1-2 non-residential floors have columns, this causes inconvenience to residents of the following floors (columns in residential premises steal useful space, or, built into the walls, do not look very aesthetically pleasing). Ural specialists have figured out how to fit a column into the wall of a residential building in order to preserve all the engineering properties, but at the same time preserve the beautiful appearance of the room and not take up extra space.

METROPOLIS claims victory with the multifunctional Iskra Park neighborhood. Its peculiarity is that the subway is located under the buildings, which imposed a number of restrictions on construction and forced the development of solutions that could offset the effects of the location above the subway. For example, the limitations of the subway in terms of loads led to the need for "bridge" structures – transfer foundations supported by piles located along the zone of the subway facility.

Another contender for the victory is also from the METROPOLIS company. ZILART DIAMOND is a multifunctional residential complex that consists of a 22–storey tower, a 4-storey stylobate part and an underground four-storey parking lot. The building is located on the territory of the former ZIL plant, where complex development is currently taking place within the framework of a pre-agreed design code. Since the building is an object of an increased level of responsibility, scientific and technical support is provided for it during the design, manufacture and installation of structures.

The winners of the award will be announced during the 100+ TechnoBuild Forum and exhibition on October 5-7, 2021.
