The "Genius of the Place" magazine

The Genius of Place magazine is a specialized print publication about architecture and architects, landscape architecture, urban and territorial development through landscaping and environmental design.

The B2B and B2G edition is of interest to architects, landscape architects, designers, urbanists, developers, manufacturers and suppliers, as well as to representatives of government agencies responsible for construction and landscaping issues.

All issues of the magazine are thematic. On the pages of the publication, you can read interviews with architects, planners, designers and specialists in related professions, get acquainted with the results of various studies, and study landscape and architectural projects implemented in Russia and abroad. The magazine presents the work of famous master painters, monumental sculptors, whose works change the appearance of urban spaces, transforming and shaping their identity. We actively work with foreign specialists and present projects of our foreign colleagues on the pages of the magazine. All these materials in the magazine are labeled "architecture without borders" — this is the position of our editorial staff. The journal's materials are partially duplicated into English. At the editors' choice, each print issue contains translated articles that show the English-speaking reader what is happening in Russia in the field of landscape architecture. Every year, all translated materials are collected in an online digest, which is posted on our website in open access for everyone.

The journal was created in 2023 and is registered with Roskomnadzor.

In a short period of time, the magazine received professional recognition: "The Genius of the Place" was awarded Gold diplomas of the XIV and XVI Festivals of the "National Award for Landscape Architecture" from ALAROS as the best print edition of 2023 and 2025, including diplomas of the International Architectural Competition "Architecture" 2024 and 2025 from the Union of Architects of Russia in the competition "Best Print Edition about architecture and architects."
