Ural Institute of GPS of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia

The Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is one of the oldest educational institutions in the country (founded on April 17, 1929), fulfilling the personnel order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of fire safety, civil defense and protection of the population and territories from natural and man—made emergencies, the safety of people on water bodies.

The Institute trains highly qualified fire and rescue officers in 11 specialties and training areas.

The Institute provides the following services in the field of fire safety of various facilities:

• Development, maintenance and expertise of documentation related to ensuring the conditions for compliance of new construction facilities with fire safety requirements;
• Performing engineering and technical calculations in the field of fire safety of facilities;
• Development of documentation, support and expertise of works on fire protection of building structures, buildings under construction and in operation;
• Development of organizational and administrative documentation on fire safety issues.
